On August 17, 2025, hosted by People's Government of Beijing Municipality, China Media Group, World Robot Cooperation Organization and RoboCup Asia-Pacific Confederation Board of Trustees, jointly organized by BSAM and jointly operated by Beijing Beiao Group, 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games concludes with great success at National Speed Skating Oval.
World Humanoid Robotics Games Federation is jointly initiated by Chinese Institute of Electronics, World Robot Cooperation Organization, Chinese Athletics Association, RoboCup Asia-Pacific Confederation Board of Trustees, Global Digital Economy Cities Alliance and other organizations. The Organizing Committee of World Humanoid Robot Games has officially announced that the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games will be held in Beijing in August 2026.
Boasting innovation and upgrade, the Games drives the advancement of the humanoid robot industry
The 2025 Games sheds light on top leaders of the global robot research, development and application sectors, offering a wonderful gala of robot sports and technological innovation and serving as a crucial platform for international exchange and mutual learning in robot science, technology and sports. For example, participating teams represent a broad range, and they not only come from leading enterprises in Chinese robot industry, but also those technologically advanced countries, such as the United States, Germany and Japan. The 2025 Games is indeed contemporary global pinnacle of humanoid robot development.
Currently, Beijing is sparing no effort to grow into a world-class benchmark city for robot industry. Since 2019, Beijing has implemented two successive three-year action plans, vigorously striving to be a fountainhead for global robot technology innovation, a base for application demonstration, and a cluster for high-end industries. According to relevant heads of BSAM, BSAM will take the success of the inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games as an opportunity, effectively utilize the fruits of event operation, redouble efforts in contributing to bright prospect of Beijing as an international sci-tech innovation center, enhance its attractive force for global robot innovation resources, and further promote innovation-driven growth of robot industry, as well as collaboration and exchanges through competition events.
In terms of industrial agglomeration, BSAM will push forward National Speed Skating Oval to emerge as a hub of Beijing robot industry. Guided by development vision of National Speed Skating Oval as "sports + sci-tech + nature + life", BSAM takes full advantage of "Beijing Humanoid Robot Competition and Training Base" to integrate team training, product testing, data collection, technology verification and public science education in one. By organizing industry-related activities, BSAM will establish an exchange platform for industrial investment, a showcase and promotion platform for the latest technological achievements, and an experience platform for youth science and technology exploration and exchange.
